Reelmember ("we", "our", or "us") operates reelmember.com and the Reelmember mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: When you create an account we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider Clerk.

Video URLs: When you save a video to your library we collect and store the URL of that video along with any optional note you add when saving.

AI-Extracted Content: We process each saved video through our AI pipeline to extract metadata, transcripts, visual descriptions, and structured information. This extracted content is stored and associated with your account.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app including searches performed and chat messages sent to our AI assistant.

Device Information: When using our mobile app we may collect device type, operating system, and crash reports for debugging purposes.

Section 2 — How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Reelmember service
• Process videos you save and make them searchable in your personal library
• Power our AI chat assistant to answer questions about your saved content
• Send processing completion notifications
• Improve and develop our services
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train our AI models.

Section 3 — Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Reelmember:

• Authentication provider — manages user accounts, sign-in, and session security
• AI processing providers — perform video analysis, content understanding, audio transcription, and generate chat responses
• Cloud infrastructure providers — provide database hosting, file storage, and server infrastructure
• Payment processor — manages subscription billing and entitlement verification on iOS and Android

Section 4 — Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will permanently delete all your saved videos, chat history, and personal information from our systems.

Section 5 — Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and encrypted database storage. However no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Section 6 — Children's Privacy

Reelmember is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us immediately.

Section 7 — Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data upon request
• Opt out of non-essential communications
